"A remote rain-lashed shore, rich in seafood, surrounded by dense rainforest was home to the Haida village of SGaang Gwaii (Skang Gwai). Here the canoes were pulled up on the beach, children played, men and women worked, and a great culture thrived.
Now the last of the proud poles stand amidst the sedge grass and the only sound to be heard is wind in the boughs of the trees."
SGaang Gwaii © is a limited edition Giclée print. The Iris Giclée process uses millions of custom-blended ink droplets to faithfully replicate Carol Evans' artistry.
