"At first light we walked around the lagoon. The tide was out, and, as we ambled amongst the clam shells and sand dollars, it felt as if we were walking on the bottom of the sea. By sunrise the tide began to flood in, filling all the little streams and hollows, so quietly, we hardly noticed the change. The silent, calm waters, like a mirror, reflected the little island, aglow in morning sunshine."
